Lorentz’ quest is to make his friend Fozt a sober, happy man. He has a big heart, is very stubborn, a man of crazy schemes and likes to invent stuff on his spare time. Like a coffee brewer that can also make toasts. Lorentz is on medication because of his asthma and allergies – but never lets it in the way: which truly reflects his stubbornness.

Fozt is a very pessimistic and easily gives up. His wife left him and moved to an other city and took their kids with her since she thought it was dangerous for the kids to be near him in his alcoholic misery. Fozt and Lorentz have been friends since they were teenagers. Deep down he is a lojal and caring person, but his tendency to flee has made him miserable and untrustworthy in others’ eyes.

Edmund is very quiet, yet seems to have a lot of answers. He works a lot and seems to be content with being part of the group, even for not saying much. Out of his colleagues he is closest to Lorentz who got him a job at the port when he needed it the most, and also took him in as a friend without question about his past.

Denilou is the youngest of the four. He is really short tempered, has an unpeaceful mind and doesn’t quite know how to take care of himself when it comes to health: sleep, food, etc. He shares appartment with his sister, whom he respects a lot hence is very over protective with.

Merleva is Lorentz wife and owns a local bakery down the streets where they live. She works a lot to make things go around since Lorentz’ income is not enough for their family, activities and Lorentz’ medication. Merleva is at heart a great mother, but is worrying way too much. Sometimes she feels like she is the only one acting like a responsible parent.

Tova, the daughter of Lorentz and Merleva, loves to dance and looks up to her father a lot. Sometimes it gets to Merleva’s nerves that she listens more to Lorentz than to her since he can give Tova some really weird ideas. Tova loves being with her father, and sometimes even follow him to work. She loves Merleva as well, but wishes she could relax once in a while since she is much kinder then.

Rosita is Denilou’s older sister and is clearly the successful one of the siblings. She works at the local lab and is truly dedicated. She knows the others through Denilou and his work, since they tend to get together a lot. The siblings look a whole lot like each other and living together makes people raise an eyebrow. She owns a big apartment and lets Denilou rent a room in it since she knows he can’t take care of himself.

Gregg and Elsa are so different from each other yet they are best friends. Gregg has a passion for air planes and Elsa loves to hang around and see what Gregg is up to. Gregg is the only child in a wealthy family and Elsa comes from a big family with normal standards. Even though they are best friends, Elsa sometimes thinks Gregg spend too much time obsessing over flying instead of spending time with her. But they have one thing in common: they love to bake! Elsa is really important to Gregg since she is the only true friend he has, even though he has a hard time showing it sometimes. He is very precocious and doesn’t show what he feels as easily as Elsa does.

Frank is Gregg’s father, a principled, rich and strict man but also very hospitable if he has to. He works for the government as a strategist and isn’t home in the mansion as much as he wants to. He is proud of Gregg being so smart for his age, but doesn’t like his obsession with airplanes and the technology behind flying. He just wants Gregg to live a normal life and learn some social manners: how to make friends to rely on. Frank is troubled because he wants to spend more time with Gregg, but his work won’t allow it. He is afraid it has made Gregg too comfortable with being on his own and isolated.

Ursula is Gregg’s mother, and is closer to Gregg than Frank is. She truly believes in Gregg, even though his obsession sometimes scares her. She wants him to be happy, and even though she tends to take Frank’s side a lot on how to raise Gregg, she is mostly more supportive of Gregg’s ways. She hates to see him upset. She is worried about Frank and Gregg growing a bad father-and-son relationship, and thus tries to make both of them change their ways, to meet half way.

Louise is a servant of the Emilio family. She helps out with the cleaning and cooking. Even if she is a servant of the family, she is treated like a family member. Ursula loves to cook and take care of the garden together with Louise.

Sixten is also a servant of the Emilio family. He is mainly their chauffeur, but also helps out with handy man chores. Unlike Louise, Sixten lives on the property of Frank Ronald Emilio, since he might be needed urgently. That’s why he occasionally spends time with the family even when he is free from work. Sixten tends to hang around Gregg a lot. Both because Ursula asks him to keep an eye on him, but also because Gregg likes Sixten, like an uncle, or even a brother.

John is the governor of Richbrille and also has influence on the military of the western province. He is a friend of the Emilio family though Frank’s work for the military. Gregg doesn’t like John, he thinks he is two-faced.
